This type of galley was mass-produced in the late 16th century for the fleet of the Republic of Genoa and the Knights of Malta. Built in the late 16th century. Length: 48 m. Width: 8 m. Crew: 60 sailors and officers, soldiers: 50 to 100. Rowers: 260.
The name of the galley, translated from Latin, means “Lightning Against the Enemies.”
The model is made in 1:100 scale. The following materials were used: hull, deck, and superstructure – pear wood; oars – cornel wood; stern flooring – plum wood; cannons – bronze.
