La Jacinte 1823
La Jacinthe was one of six schooners of the Anemone class. The ship was built in Toulon in 1823. The schooners of the Anemone class were intended to serve as Guardships in the West Indies and Senegal. They were also used as avisos and for gathering information. Their weak armament limited to two small 12 - pdr Carronades clearly shows that these schooners were not designed to go into action. For all that several of them including La Jacinthe took part in the blocade of Cadiz in September 1823. La Jacinthe was in service till 1841 when she was condemned.
The model is built in scale 1:48 according to the drawings from monography of Jean Boudriot. It consists of more than 10 000 handmade components.
