H.M.S. (His Majesty’s Ship) BELLONA was one of the most famous 74-gun vessels of the British Navy. Launched on 19 February 1760, BELLONA was sent to support the blockade of Brest. On 30 December 1780, BELLONA took part in the capture of the 44-gun Dutch Princess Caroline; she then operated off Gibraltar in the North Sea and the West Indies. She took part in the blockade of Cadiz; she was then in Jamaica, Portsmouth and Barbados. Although more than 50 years.
